Current Services:
Rimedicon has provided hundreds of truly independent opinions as to causation, case management, MMI, impairment, permanent restrictions, fitness for duty, medical screening and quality of care. Rimedicon provides these services in a traditional consultative role or via case review. Eventually our Web based solutions will greatly reduce the need for such services throughout the country, however, until this shift in Occupational Medicine practice takes place, we will continue to support clients in a traditional sense.
How to obtain IMEs:
If you have a claimant capable of traveling to our location in Colorado, we can provide a traditional IME. If your claimant arrives by auto, we are easily located. If by air to Denver International or the Fort Collins-Loveland Airport, we will arrange or assist with local transportation, lodging and meals. If necessary, we will come to your location.

Impairment...
The problem with MMI, impairment and case closure! Even in experienced hands, this is often the point at which failure is maximal. The AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment states that the assessment of impairment be conducted independently, yet in almost every case of a work related illness or injury, the treating physician assesses impairment at the time of case closure. At this point, the lack of independence and experience not only leads to incorrect impairment determinations, it results in doctor-patient relationship based determinations of necessary work restrictions and maintenance requirements. Rimedicon provides a cost effective independent and expert analysis at the critical point of case closure. We make certain that the claimant is truly at MMI. We provide a practical, evidence based and accurate independent assessment of impairment, work restriction parameters and maintenance care requirements.
